MoJo's Music Cafe

MoJo's Cafe on Northway, Scarborough, is the ideal place to go if you want a reasonably priced meal, coffee of snack whilst visiting the town centre.

MoJo's also has a wide selection of reasonably priced CDs and vinyl records (especially if you are a blues, folk, roots, acoustic or jazz enthusiast) as Rod the proprieter is a true music enthusiast.

If you are a Scarborough resident you should also be aware that music fans always make a point of visiting MoJo's because this is where you can keep up-to-date with 'what's on' in Scarborough and BUY TICKETS IN ADVANCE FOR ALL OUR GIGS.

You will find that Rod and his staff are extremely helpful to anyone who calls. Please mention the Blues Club if you do drop in.

Scarborough Jazz

Our Blues Club shares its venue with the local jazz club.

Scarborough Jazz is one of the best known jazz clubs in the north of England and celebrated its 25th Anniversary in 2009. It moved to the Sigma Bar in 2007 after its previous venue was altered.

Scarborough Jazz meets every Wednesday. If you are interested in good music, you should find a visit is well worthwhile. In addition to an excellent resident trio, they normally have a top class guest artist every week. Once a month they also have a guest band.

Jesse Hutchinson

Jesse Hutchinson is another friend of the Blues Club. Among other things Jesse designed and created this website and continues to design our advertising literature. This may not seem very unusual until you realise that Jesse is also a musician with a regular gig that clashes with our Thursday night events!

You can normally catch Jesse at the Cellars Bar. He normally plays acoustic guitar and sings a variety of popular hits; everything from Bob Dylan and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to more contemporary favourites.
